THE SCIENCE OF STRESS-FAT STORAGE
When you are anxious—whether it’s about a work deadline or the number on the scale—your brain perceives a state of emergency.
The scientific reality is that your Adrenal Glands flood your system with Cortisol. In the wild, Cortisol’s job was to make sure you had enough energy to survive a famine. In modern life, it tells your body to hold onto belly fat at all costs and triggers cravings for high-sugar “quick energy” foods.
This leads to Metabolic Gridlock. You can eat salads all day, but if your Amygdala is screaming “Danger!”, your body will refuse to let go of its fuel reserves.
Medicines or “fat-burners” might give a temporary boost, but they often increase anxiety, making the problem worse. Real weight management begins when you use your Soul Power to signal to your cells that the “famine” is over.
