THE SCIENCE OF THE LOW-SEROTONIN TRAP
Many people think anxiety and depression are opposites—one is “too much energy” (worry) and the other is “too little” (sadness). The scientific reality is that they are two sides of the same coin.
When your brain is under constant anxiety, it burns through its supply of Serotonin and Dopamine. Once these “feel-good” chemicals are depleted, the brain enters a Protective Shutdown—which we call Depression.
This leads to Ruminative Thinking, where the Default Mode Network of your brain gets stuck on negative memories and future fears. Medicines might artificially boost chemicals, but they often don’t fix the underlying leak of emotional energy.
Real healing comes from using your Mind Power to “re-ignite” the brain’s frontal lobes and break the cycle of hopelessness.
