Symptoms of Exam Anxiety –
The feeling of anxiousness before a test can have physiological and psychological effects. Typical symptoms include :
– Physical Symptoms : Difficulty concentrating can worsen due to muscle fatigue or tension, nausea, headaches, sweating, and rapid heart rates.
– Emotional Symptoms : Feeling overwhelmed along with racing thoughts and difficulty focusing is also common and leads to dread and irritability.
– Behavioral Symptoms : Anxiety from exams can prompt students to procrastinate or skip studying altogether. This leads to behavioral changes like avoidance.
